Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, dedicates between 30 and 40% of his time to company culture rather than technical or product decisions. The company, which employs 3,500 people, is preparing for an IPO that could value the firm at up to $2 trillion, potentially making it the most valuable public listing ever. Third-quarter revenue jumped 50% to $16.8 billion and the company is profitable on an adjusted basis. Amodei holds biweekly all-hands meetings called “DVQ” (Dario Vision Quest) and maintains direct communication with employees through an active Slack channel, in a bid for radical transparency. This approach aims to keep all employees aligned with the company’s mission and prevent internal conflicts.
