Anthropic has hired Clive Chan, a former OpenAI engineer, to lead this effort, with salaries ranging from $320,000 to $485,000. The company is adopting a multi-chip strategy, maintaining its existing partnerships while exploring Samsung Electronics as a potential fabrication partner. This initiative also aims to reduce reliance on TSMC, which handles the vast majority of leading-edge AI chip production.
