Anthropic announced on October 2, 2026 the launch of the Claude Frontier Academy, a $100 million training program aimed at certifying 10,000 engineers specialized in enterprise AI deployment by the end of 2027. The program, modeled on medical residencies, consists of three stages: multi-day in-person training, realistic deployment simulations, and a 12-week residency during which engineers lead actual Claude projects within their own organizations. Initial cohorts have already launched in San Francisco, New York, and London, with participants from major firms including Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, and Morgan Stanley. Accenture alone plans to train approximately 30,000 professionals, triple the Academy’s own 10,000-engineer target. The first certification badges, Claude Resident Engineer and Claude Frontier Deployed Engineer, are expected in early 2027.
