AMD raised its target, expecting its data center business to account for more than 80% of revenue in 2027, up from the roughly 70% previously forecast. The revision followed a record third quarter, when data center revenue reached $8.5 billion, representing about 64% of the total, and grew 97% year over year. Overall company revenue rose to $13.38 billion, while AMD guided to approximately $17 billion for the fourth quarter. The company also expects server revenue to double in 2027, driven by demand for server processors and artificial intelligence accelerators. Its Helios platform, combining sixth-generation EPYC processors with MI450-series Instinct accelerators, is now in production, with Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Azure and Oracle among key customers.
