AMD, Cisco and HUMAIN have formed a strategic joint venture to build up to 1 gigawatt of AI data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia by 2030. The initial phase, a 100 MW deployment, is set to begin operations in 2026 using AMD Instinct MI450 GPUs and Cisco’s networking infrastructure. The partnership builds on a $10 billion agreement signed between AMD and HUMAIN in May 2025, with HUMAIN operating under the umbrella of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The first confirmed customer is Luma AI, a generative video startup, and additional expansion of up to 250 MW is planned for 2027.
