Amazon is raising the minimum hourly pay for its eligible full-time U.S. operations workers to $20, an increase of $1. The company is also unveiling a new benefit called « Day 1 Financial » providing lifetime access to low-cost banking services through First Tech Federal Credit Union. Average total compensation including benefits will now exceed $32 per hour. This move positions Amazon above Walmart at $14 and Target at $15, matching Costco which had reached $20 last year.
