Aave governance is reviewing a proposal to wind down six low-adoption V3 markets on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos. These markets hold 98.1 million dollars in deposits and 15.6 million dollars in debt, representing less than 1% of Aave’s total deposits. They generate less than 5,000 dollars per quarter, failing to cover oracle and monitoring costs. The proposal also targets 50 low-use reserves and 21 matured Pendle Principal Tokens. This decision is part of an operational streamlining strategy, with a gradual and transparent wind-down process rather than an abrupt one.
