Zcash activated its major network upgrade, called NU7, on the mainnet. The upgrade cuts block time by a factor of three. NU7 also activates the Network Sustainability Mechanism, which removes 60% of the transaction fees from each block from circulation. The change aims to speed up transaction processing and reduce the amount of Zcash in circulation.
