Bull Bitcoin announced a deep integration of the Payjoin privacy protocol, making it the first Bitcoin exchange in the world to offer the technology for deposits and withdrawals. Every on-chain purchase or sale made directly through BULL Wallet will use Payjoin by default, allowing users to consolidate unspent transaction outputs and reduce future mining fees. The exchange is also adding Payjoin transactions, which are designed to obscure amounts, address reuse, and links between participants to reduce the information disclosed through on-chain analysis. These features are based on the work of the Payjoin Foundation and do not require any change to Bitcoin’s consensus protocol, although wallets and exchanges must adopt them for wider use. The underlying software is free and open source, and users can enable the full process by downloading BULL Wallet, creating a Bull Bitcoin account, and logging in through the mobile application.
