UstarPay announced on November 5, 2026, that BitGo Bank & Trust will custody digital assets linked to its payment and wallet services. The arrangement is intended to strengthen customer fund security, clarify operational responsibilities, and segregate customer assets from company funds while preserving customers’ ownership and beneficial interests. UstarPay offers physical and virtual Visa cards accepted by more than 80 million merchants, allowing users to deposit and spend assets such as USDT with instant conversion at the point of sale. BitGo Bank & Trust, part of BitGo Holdings, is described as the first federally chartered digital asset trust bank operating under OCC regulation. The partnership reflects UstarPay’s compliance-by-design approach as demand grows for regulated custody and clearer settlement pathways in crypto payments.
