MetaMask now allows mobile users to set a target price for a token swap and leave the order pending until it is filled. The feature launched around November 5, 2026, in version 8.18.0 or later of the app, supporting sell orders above the market price and buy orders below it. It uses revocable ERC-7702 delegation, meaning tokens remain in the user’s wallet and the authorization can be withdrawn before execution. MetaMask charges its service fee only when an order is fulfilled, while transaction fees are deducted from the tokens being sold without requiring users to hold a separate balance for gas. At launch, the feature supported four networks, and MetaMask says it is the first limit-order feature of its kind integrated into a self-custodial wallet.
