Apple has launched a high-grade bond issue denominated in US dollars and split into seven tranches, each with its own maturity and interest rate. The proceeds will be used for share repurchases, debt repayment and other general corporate purposes. The transaction follows Apple’s $4.5 billion four-tranche offering in May 2025, which attracted more than $10 billion in orders. The new issue has nearly twice as many tranches, continuing a multi-tranche bond strategy that Apple has pursued for more than a decade. Its strong credit profile enables the company to borrow on favorable terms and fund share repurchases without drawing down its cash reserves.
