L2BEAT, an analytics site focused on Ethereum’s layer 2 networks, has become ETHBEAT. Announced on November 4, 2026, alongside Devcon 8, the rebranding expands its monitoring to privacy, interoperability, staking, zero-knowledge components, and blobs. ETHBEAT says it has already reviewed 16 privacy protocols representing $983 million in value locked and $3.94 billion in deposits, increases of 19.1% and 50.1% year on year, respectively. The site retains its layer 2 coverage and launches the CROPS framework to assess projects based on censorship resistance, openness, privacy, and security. Research into liquid staking is also planned, while monitoring changes to Ethereum’s base layer is expected to further strengthen its risk analysis.
