Mistral AI used 133 specialized agents from its Mistral Large 4 model to identify, reproduce and patch a real vulnerability in the Django web framework. The demonstration, published on November 4, 2026, drew on a batch of security fixes released by Django the previous day, including protections against memory exhaustion and log injection. The company also shared a time-lapse video sped up 90 times and released the model’s open weights on October 30, 2026. Mistral says the model refuses more than 96% of malicious cyber prompts tested, while the demonstration illustrates the potential of multi-agent orchestration to automate the full vulnerability management lifecycle.
