Block, the payments company owned by Jack Dorsey, has agreed in principle to pay $764 million to the U.S. Department of Justice to resolve an investigation into its anti-money laundering controls. The proposed deal would defer prosecution for three years, subject to compliance with imposed obligations and court approval.
