A CoinDesk-commissioned poll of 1,000 registered U.S. voters conducted in late April 2026 shows that crypto ranks near the bottom of voters’ election priorities. Only 1% named crypto as their top concern, while nearly two-thirds hold a less favorable view of the industry than a favorable one. Partisan divisions are pronounced: 73% oppose government officials holding personal business interests in crypto, and 62% do not trust the Trump administration to oversee the sector. Despite this distrust, 27% have invested in or used crypto, another 27% may get involved, and 65% still prefer banks for financial access. Nearly 40% would be more inclined to back candidates who share their views on crypto, making it a secondary issue with the potential to influence votes.
