The solemn vote on the revenue side of the 2027 budget was postponed because the amendments had not been exhausted, with 758 still to be examined at midnight on Monday. More than 3,000 amendments were tabled, and 1,943 had been considered by the morning of November 2, following an initial postponement on October 20. General rapporteur Philippe Juvin, who estimated an additional budget deficit of about 10 billion euros, has been calling for the use of Article 49.3 since August. If the text is rejected, the Lecornu government could restore some measures, retain certain amendments and drop others, including the gigabyte tax. A motion of censure would remain possible, with the RN playing a decisive role, while Parliament must vote on the entire text before November 17.
