The XRP Ledger network recorded 7,934 new wallets on Sunday, November 1, its sixth-highest daily result of 2026, compared with an autumn average of 3,500. This influx more than doubled the number of new addresses in response to the hack of Binance on October 29. According to the FBI, the attackers, linked to the North Korean group TraderTraitor, stole $6.36 billion in assets, including 233 million XRP tokens worth about $297 million. Investors withdrew tokens from the centralized platform to independent wallets to retain control of their private keys, indicating increased demand for self-custody despite pressure on XRP’s price. The token remained resilient, finding support at $1.20 and consolidating around $1.25, while new wallet creation could exceed 4,000 per day if optimism persists.
