North Korea is moving the $6.43 billion stolen from Binance into roughly 12,000 wallets across 11 blockchains through more than 40,000 transactions completed in under four days. Tether and Circle froze or seized $2.85 billion in stablecoins, representing 44% of the haul, compared with about 3% following the Bybit hack in February 2025. Before the freezes, the hacker swapped 434 million USDT for ETH, borrowed 19,762 ETH on Aave and traded 234 million USDT for TRX. About $3.24 billion remains in addresses linked to the theft, while Elliptic expects a gradual cash-out through over-the-counter brokers over several months. The firm says the transactions are automated, but no evidence indicates that artificial intelligence is making the decisions.
