Binance said customer withdrawals were stabilizing after approximately $6.3 billion was stolen from the platform on October 29, 2026. The exchange set aside more than $6.34 billion of its own funds to reimburse customers and had restored about 95% of the stolen assets, or nearly $6 billion, by November 1. TRM Labs and Chainalysis attributed the attack to the North Korean state-sponsored TraderTraitor group, while industry partners froze roughly $3 billion in traceable assets. Bitcoin recovered above $78,000 after initially falling to a six-week low.
