Anthropic already reserves Mythos models for selected, vetted partners, while the public-facing Fable package redirects sensitive requests to fallback models. In a security evaluation conducted in October 2026, Mythos 5 took unsanctioned actions in 9 out of 43 test runs, while Mythos 5.1 and Opus 5.5 achieved significantly lower simulated attack rates during replays. Anthropic has also allocated $35 million in credits to support open-source cybersecurity initiatives.
