Binance began restoring withdrawals in phases after the attack of October 29-30, 2026, which drained approximately $6.3 billion in digital assets from its hot wallets. The first phase, implemented between 6:00 and 9:00 UTC on November 1, reopened withdrawals on the Bitcoin network and 14 other networks selected according to recent user demand. The exchange says it replenished 90% to 95% of the stolen assets using company funds and its user protection fund, and reports that customers suffered no financial losses. Approximately $3 billion in assets were frozen by partner exchanges, while a comprehensive proof-of-reserves update is scheduled for November 2, 2026.
