XRP traded below its 200-day moving average for the first time since August 2026, after briefly moving beneath that level in September and October 2026. The cryptocurrency fell to $1.22 on Thursday and $1.19 on Friday amid reports of the Binance hack and the release of weaker-than-expected U.S. economic data. The personal consumption expenditures price index rose 0.5% month over month and 3.6% year over year, above the Federal Reserve’s 2% target, as the central bank held interest rates steady. To preserve a bullish outlook, traders are watching whether XRP holds its weekly 50-day moving average support; a breakdown could target $1 or even $0.98, while a recovery could push it toward $1.70. Binance also said it allocated $6.34 billion of its own funds to buy major cryptocurrencies, including XRP and RLUSD, bringing the reserve backing of its user fund to 100%.
