Chainalysis said an external actor gained unauthorized access to its systems and internal tools in October. Potentially exposed data includes customer names, email addresses, user IDs and organizational role labels, although it has not established that every listed field was accessed for every customer. The company found no indication of access to investigation content, transaction or query results, clear-text passwords, multifactor authentication secrets or user session tokens, but its investigation remains ongoing. Chainalysis urged users to enable multifactor authentication and monitor unexpected password-reset requests and authentication prompts. It also stated that the incident was unrelated to the recent cryptocurrency theft involving Binance.
