Some 254,045 crypto traders had their positions forcibly closed over 24 hours, wiping out approximately $1.67 billion in value, according to CoinGlass. Bitcoin and Ethereum accounted for the largest liquidations at around $560 million and $360 million respectively, while long positions made up nearly 86% of the total. Binance accounted for roughly half of the liquidation volume, followed by Hyperliquid with close to one-fifth and OKX with a smaller share. The liquidations occurred on October 30, 2026, alongside a security breach affecting an estimated $6.3 billion in assets, prompting Binance to suspend deposits and withdrawals.
