Trust Wallet says Binance and Polymarket breaches did not touch it, plans security upgrades

Trust Wallet confirmed on October 30, 2026, that its systems were unaffected by the security breaches at Binance and Polymarket, which occurred around October 29. The self-custody wallet is launching a comprehensive internal security review, with particular attention to AI-driven attacks. Binance reported an estimated $6.3 billion in unauthorized withdrawals, while Polymarket suffered unauthorized withdrawals estimated at $2.65 million to $2.73 million that affected 700 to 737 accounts. Trust Wallet plans to strengthen its standard operating procedures and harden its code, following a December 2025 supply-chain attack that drained about $8.5 million from 2,520 addresses. These incidents exploited devices, credentials and third-party code rather than blockchain consensus mechanisms.
