Y Combinator is looking to fund crypto startups that make AI fundraising easier, using Ethereum’s initial coin offering as a blueprint, while leaving the financing structure open. Its October 2025 request builds on an onchain strategy covering stablecoins, financial applications and agents, capital formation, and asset markets. YC is specifically seeking dollar stablecoins and stablecoins in other currencies, neobanks serving underserved customers, and trading platforms and APIs that enable agents to interact with financial services. The accelerator also anticipates new assets, including startup equity and small securities, supported by trading, lending, and derivatives services. Applications for the Winter 2027 batch, scheduled from January through March in San Francisco, are due by November 2 at 8 p.m. Pacific time, although late applications will still be considered.
