HTX, the cryptocurrency exchange linked to Justin Sun, exited the United Kingdom after reaching a High Court settlement with the Financial Conduct Authority over unlawful financial promotions. The settlement, secured through Huobi Global S.A., the entity operating HTX, does not constitute an admission of liability. The FCA said HTX is no longer active in the United Kingdom, existing customers can no longer make deposits and new users cannot sign up. The platform will no longer target UK consumers and said it has taken steps to comply with the country’s financial promotion rules. The FCA action follows proceedings opened in October 2025 against HTX and Huobi Global S.A., which were also sanctioned by the European Union in July 2026 over their alleged role in circumventing sanctions against Russia.
