Predict.fun: PREDICT airdrop criticized after $400K exploit: ‘Nothing but scam projects’

The Binance-backed prediction market Predict.fun was hacked, resulting in the theft of about $409,500 from 34 victims’ accounts. According to the project, its third-party-hosted application programming interface documentation site may have been compromised for a short period, and Predict.fun has pledged to fully reimburse affected users. Security researcher SomaXBT, whose report remains unverified, claims that the attack occurred in three waves between October 14 and 27. Over 30 days, the platform recorded $400 million in trading volume and generated nearly $8 million in revenue, ranking behind Polymarket and Kalshi. The PREDICT token launch has also drawn community criticism because only 35% of the 70 million tokens allocated to the first airdrop will be unlocked at launch, representing roughly 2.5% of the total supply.
