Kraken will replace 176 trading pairs with synthetic markets, canceling outstanding orders between November 6 and November 9. The affected markets will enter cancel-only mode on November 6 at 14:00 UTC, while the replacement markets are scheduled to become available by the end of November 9. The new system will eliminate maker-fee eligibility, meaning all transactions, including limit orders, will incur taker fees. Partial fills, post-only orders and time-in-force settings will also be discontinued. The underlying cryptocurrencies will remain available on the platform, while customer balances and margin trading pairs will be unaffected.
