According to a Bitquery analysis verified on October 26, 53% of the new Pump.fun tokens studied were bought by another wallet within 1.3 seconds of launch, compared with 52% in a later period. The share of purchases made in the first block fell from 42% to 32%, but that block also became shorter, shrinking from 0.42 to 0.27 seconds. Detected sandwich patterns, in which traders buy before another swap and sell after the resulting price increase, rose from about 30 per 10,000 swaps to 33 per 10,000 between September 19 and October 7.
