GoldZip, which operates through entities associated with the Hong Kong Gold Exchange, is integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) with its gold-backed XGZ token. The integration, announced on October 27, 2026, in collaboration with Midas Labs, is designed to enable secure transfers of the token across multiple blockchain networks. Launched in December 2025, XGZ represents one gram of 99.99% fine gold held in accredited vaults and is redeemable for physical gold bars from 1,000 tokens, equivalent to one kilogram of gold, subject to anti-money laundering and know-your-customer checks. As of late October 2026, approximately 39,000 tokens were in circulation, with a market capitalization of about $5 million, while GoldZip is targeting physical gold reserves of $300 million.
