Overwatch, a New York startup focused on detecting digital threats for banks and financial technology companies, raised $15 million, according to Fortune. Its platform collects public data from the dark web, social media and news outlets, then uses AI agents to analyze it and generate real-time alerts. Cofounder and CEO Arjun Bisen says AI has already transformed cybercrime and that defenders need to automate their monitoring. The company says its customers address six times as many critical threats, detect emerging threats three days earlier and recover more than 20 hours of analyst work each week. Founded in 2022 and backed by Y Combinator, Overwatch had previously secured approximately $7.88 million in disclosed funding, including a $7.38 million seed round in February 2025.
