Franklin Templeton has registered two proposed ETFs with Nasdaq that would invest in US equities and direct dividend income to Bitcoin. The funds, named Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF and Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF, would belong to Franklin Templeton ETF Trust. Nate Geraci, president of NovaDius Wealth Management, said they would target a 5% Bitcoin allocation, giving shareholders indirect exposure to the digital asset without separate cryptocurrency purchases. However, the filings do not establish a launch date or explain how the allocation would be maintained as Bitcoin prices fluctuate. At the time of writing, Bitcoin traded just below $80,000, while existing spot ETFs recorded $635 million in outflows and approximately $33 million in Bitcoin positions were liquidated over 24 hours.
