Robinhood announced on October 22 that it had received authorization from Dubai’s financial regulator and established a headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Centre. The company plans to launch its services in the Middle East in 2027, but the authorization does not mean its products will immediately be available to every customer in the region. Robinhood will also need to implement functional banking, currency conversion, withdrawal and account-recovery services, while clarifying its crypto-asset custody arrangements. Customers will need to review the contractual rights and settlement mechanisms of each product, particularly for perpetual contracts linked to stocks.
