On October 23, the Stellar blockchain processed 14.16 million transactions at an average speed of 163.9 transactions per second, before reaching 224.6 transactions per second the following day. Average fees remained stable at $0.00012 thanks to optimizations introduced by the Protocol 28 upgrade, known as “Adapter,” which launched in September. The surge in activity was driven largely by growth in stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets, whose transaction volumes reached $25.1 billion and $4.1 billion, respectively, in the third quarter of 2025. Stellar recorded $33.2 billion in total financial transaction volume, while the launch of Chainlink price feeds and preparations for the Protocol 30 upgrade, known as “Bell,” aim to support further growth. The network has more than 11 million accounts, a 99.99% uptime rate and nearly 4,000 active developers, ranking second among global layer-1 networks by that measure.
