Arf announced on October 22 that it would provide RLUSD settlement financing on the XRP Ledger, covering brief liquidity gaps while cross-border payments settle. These loans, typically repaid within one to five days, are intended to help licensed payment companies finance the wait between issuing a payment instruction and receiving the corresponding funds. Arf reports $10 billion in annual settlement activity, but this figure relates to its existing business and is neither a new RLUSD loan pool nor a commitment to buy XRP. A later phase using the XRP Ledger’s native vault and lending capabilities remains conditional on validators adopting the proposed amendments. The announcement therefore establishes a commercial direction and a staged implementation plan without disclosing loan amounts, actual repayment performance or the payment corridors served.
