Glassnode and Fasanara Digital have released their Q4 2026 Digital Asset Report, covering liquidity, derivatives, tokenized assets and institutional flows. Their main finding is that traditional finance is increasingly using crypto derivatives, particularly perpetual contracts on stocks, gold and oil, whose activity is growing on major trading venues. Earlier joint research by the two firms measured more than $732 billion in new capital flowing into Bitcoin during prior cycles, as well as an increase in real-world asset tokenization from $7 billion to $24 billion year over year. Against this backdrop of recovery, Glassnode reported that Bitcoin traded near $82,000 in mid-October 2026. Venues offering these derivatives increasingly compete with traditional futures exchanges and brokerages, although leverage can amplify liquidations during sharp market moves.
