Uniswap launched a feature called Aggregator Hooks on October 22, enabling its system to access funds available on other decentralized exchanges automatically. The protocol compares quotes, builds a trading route and settles the transaction in a single transaction without requiring additional user approval. Trades using these external sources generate protocol fees that contribute to UNI token burns. Uniswap has not yet disclosed the additional fees collected or the amount of UNI destroyed since launch. According to DefiLlama, the protocol recorded about $69.4 billion in trading volume and $8.4 million in protocol revenue over 30 days, but these figures mainly cover the period before the launch.
