An Odoxa-Backbone poll published on October 15 and conducted among 1,005 people found that 56% of French respondents would vote against the 2027 budget, while 44% would approve it. Despite this overall rejection, several individual measures enjoy broad support, including an increase in the national education budget (81%), pension indexation below inflation (55%) and a freeze on the back-to-school allowance (59%). Views vary sharply by party affiliation, with stronger approval among Renaissance and Les Républicains supporters and majority opposition among Socialist, Green, National Rally and La France insoumise voters. At the same time, 89% of respondents want a golden rule to balance public finances, even as the vote on revenue and the stablecoin tax was postponed and the yield on the 10-year French government bond approached 5%.
