Extended completes migration to Circle’s Arc with USDC and cirBTC collateral

Share

The perpetual contracts platform Extended migrated from Starknet to Circle’s Layer 1 blockchain Arc on October 22, 2026, transferring approximately $120 million in total value locked. Open positions, orders, deposits, and withdrawals were preserved or restored after a brief interruption, without requiring traders to close their positions. Extended now accepts USDC as its main collateral and cirBTC, a Circle-issued token backed 1:1 by Bitcoin, as its Bitcoin collateral. Holders of USDT or wBTC had to withdraw or convert those assets into USDC or cirBTC before October 21, paying a 0.50% conversion premium. The migration, the first step in a broader partnership with Circle, also gives Extended access to Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol and sub-second deterministic finality.
