Solana Company (NASDAQ: HSDT), listed on Nasdaq and formerly known as Helius Medical Technologies, was designated a strategic enterprise by Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, or OASES. It simultaneously opened an Asia-Pacific headquarters in the city and is the only blockchain infrastructure company in the 2026 cohort. The Hong Kong office will serve as the executive hub for the company’s regional operations. The Pacific Backbone initiative aims to develop low-latency infrastructure connecting Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Singapore for staking and validation services, while the company is expanding its validator operations, including through a partnership with the Jito Foundation. Solana Company holds more than 2.2 million SOL and shifted to a Solana-centric strategy in 2025, followed by a rebranding in September 2025 after raising more than $500 million. The company aims to build institutional engagement within compliant frameworks. Its pioneering position in Hong Kong could position it as a leading partner for compliant Solana staking, with several indicators to watch: Pacific Backbone progress, additional validator partnerships, and announced institutional clients.
