The Trump administration has restrained about $938.5 million in cryptocurrency and shut down more than 500 fraudulent websites targeting American investors, particularly as part of organized operations in Southeast Asia. According to the Justice Department, more than 10,000 Americans have been warned and at least $1.6 billion in losses have been prevented this year, although restrained funds have neither been recovered nor necessarily returned to victims. Authorities also seized the tickmilleas.com domain and restrained more than $52 million linked to Xinbi Guarantee, a Telegram-based marketplace suspected of providing money laundering services and tools for creating fraudulent websites. The crackdown comes as Trump and his sons reportedly accumulated at least $2.3 billion through their crypto ventures, while the administration pardoned Binance founder Changpeng Zhao in October 2025. The government also created the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve without making any new bitcoin purchases in 18 months.
