BitGo announced on October 29, 2025 that it had become the first US-based qualified custodian to offer custody for Canton Coin (CC), the native token of the Canton Network, with up to 250 million dollars in institutional insurance coverage. In March 2026, the company expanded its offering by adding support for the CIP-56 token standard, including the USDC-backed stablecoin USDCx and cBTC, a wrapped version of Bitcoin designed for the Canton Network. BitGo also integrated electronic trading and settlement through its Go Network, allowing institutions to trade and settle without moving assets out of custody. The Canton Network, launched in July 2024, reports over 6 trillion dollars in on-chain assets and daily repo volumes reaching 280 billion dollars, with participation from entities such as Goldman Sachs, DTCC, and BNY Mellon. As the only regulated custodian on Canton, BitGo holds a strategic position for institutions seeking access to regulated finance on blockchain.
