AnchorWatch Trust Company, a Nevada-chartered qualified custodian, has launched a Bitcoin custody service offering two key-control models. Clients can either retain additional signing authority alongside AnchorWatch’s key control, or opt for a distributed key control arrangement among AnchorWatch, BitGo and CoinCorner. Eligible customers can apply for insurance coverage of up to 370 million dollars per client, backed by Lloyd’s of London syndicates. The pricing model features fixed-dollar custody charges with a monthly ceiling of 10,000 dollars, competing against the percentage-based fees common in institutional asset services. The offering targets professional trustees, company treasuries and advisers seeking regulated custody controls without concentrating all signing decisions in a single institution.
