BNB Chain has opened a dedicated forum to gather community feedback on NewL1, a new Layer 1 blockchain designed for trading, payments and AI workloads. The project targets ambitious performance with preconfirmations under 50 milliseconds, throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second and sub-second finality. No new cryptocurrency will be launched: the BNB token will serve as the sole gas token on this chain. Notable features include TxStream to reduce front-running risks and privacy enhancements. A testnet is planned for late 2026 with mainnet expected in early 2027.
