Circle’s euro stablecoin, EURC, saw its market capitalization grow by $4.8 million over the past seven days, reaching $497.12 million as of October 19, 2026, with 443.11 million tokens in circulation. EURC’s supply climbed 8.8% over the past month, surpassing 441 million euros, after crossing the 400 million euro threshold in August 2026. EURC commands roughly 60% of the euro stablecoin market, estimated at between $760 million and $810 million total, representing less than 0.3% of the global stablecoin supply dominated by dollars. Launched in 2022 as a euro counterpart to USDC and backed 1:1 by euros held in reserve, the token operates under direct supervision of France’s ACPR and is available across multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and Base. Facing nascent competition, notably from Société Générale’s EURCV, Circle’s first-mover advantage appears hard to erode for now.
