Uniswap’s UNI token is now trading as futures contracts on CME Group, making it the first decentralized exchange governance token to be listed on this regulated derivatives platform. CME Group launched two contract sizes, a standard contract of 10,000 UNI and a micro contract of 1,000 UNI, both cash-settled against the CME CF Uniswap-Dollar Reference Rate with round-the-clock access. Following the September 22, 2026 announcement, the token price spiked 15-19%, reaching between $10.43 and $10.90, before retracing to around $7.30 to $7.50 just before the official launch on October 19, 2026. The listing also spurred substantial whale accumulation and open interest in UNI-related derivatives exceeded $1 billion.
