727,000 dollars gone to Ethereum: Cysic bridge hacked

Share

On October 17, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in Cysic’s bridge to fraudulently mint 10 million CYS tokens on the BNB Smart Chain. The attacker sold 7.2 million tokens for approximately 588,315 USDT and 220 BNB before the foundation blacklisted the address. Using cross-chain protocols such as SWFT, Mayan, and deBridge, the attacker converted these assets into roughly 306.6 ETH, valued at $727,000, which was then moved to a secondary wallet on Ethereum. The remaining 2.8 million CYS tokens remain frozen. Cysic has shut down its inter-chain bridge and launched an investigation, while confirming its mainnet and user wallets remain unaffected.
