World announced on October 16, 2026 that its World ID for Zoom verification tool is now generally available on the Zoom App Marketplace. The tool performs real-time Proof of Human verification during video calls using a three-way cryptographic match between an iris scan, a selfie, and the live video feed. World also launched a World ID suite designed for banks and regulated industries, with early partners including Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake and VanEck Funds. The verification system targets high-risk operations like wire transfers and executive approvals, supplementing existing KYC processes rather than replacing them. The verification requires prior Orb enrollment and operates on the World ID 4.0 protocol.
